China’s iFlyTek plans Europe expansion as US tensions rise
Chinese AI company iFlyTek is planning to expand its presence in Europe as it works to address the impact of ongoing trade tensions between the United States and China.
Vincent Zhan, the firm’s vice president, indicated that North America is iFlyTek’s largest market outside of China.
However, recent US tariffs have led the company to diversify its supply chain and extend its reach in Europe.
iFlyTek, based in Hefei, China, has offices in France and Hungary. It plans to open a new office in Paris this year or next.
The company is also considering expansion into markets such as Spain and Italy.
