China’s EVs expected to nearly double global sales in 2025

The global electric vehicle (EV) market is expected to grow next year, driven mainly by China, the largest and most competitive auto market

Will Roberts, head of automotive research at Rho Motion, expects China to add nearly double the EV sales of the rest of the world combined.

Data from the firm indicate that 15.2 million EVs were sold worldwide between January and November, with China comprising 64% of these sales, or 9.7 million units.

EVs could account for 60% of China’s auto exports by 2030.

The EV sector continues to show resilience and growth, driven by global electrification efforts aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
