China’s drone industry reached a value of US$16.5 billion in 2022, boosted by factors such as low-altitude logistics expansion, Covid-19-related contactless deliveries, and increased competition among domestic couriers. Despite facing US trade sanctions, the industry grew by over 34% from US$12.3 billion in 2021, with over 15,000 drone-related enterprises operating in the country.
