The People’s Bank of China introduced a digital yuan visual hard wallet at the 18th Shenzhen International Financial Expo held from Thursday to Saturday.

The device resembles a credit card and features a screen displaying QR codes, transaction records, and balances.

The wallet is designed for seniors, students, and foreign visitors to enhance access to China’s digital currency.

Initially tested in 2021, it now works with Huawei’s HarmonyOS, allowing use without a specific app.
