China to resume Nexperia chip shipments, says Dutch PM

China has agreed to allow the resumption of Nexperia chip shipments from its factories, Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said.

Nexperia, a Dutch chipmaker owned by China’s Wingtech Technology, had faced export restrictions that affected components from its Chinese facilities, which previously made up about half of its output.

Schoof shared the update after meeting German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a climate summit in Brazil, calling it good news for German car factories.

The timeline for deliveries remains unclear.

The export curbs were imposed by China after actions taken by the Netherlands regarding Nexperia.
