China has announced a plan to strengthen its energy storage sector to meet rising power demands, especially from industries like AI.

The initiative, led by eight government departments, focuses on next-generation battery technologies.

By 2027, China aims to develop three to five key energy storage enterprises, improving renewable energy efficiency and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
