China bans OnlyFans, blames ‘Western influence’

China has banned the UK-based content platform OnlyFans, known for its subscription-based adult content.

The move is part of Beijing’s ongoing efforts to regulate the digital space and curb what it sees as “immoral” online influences.

Although OnlyFans was not officially available in China, some users accessed it through VPNs and third-party payment systems.

The ban now eliminates those workarounds, restricting access for both creators and users.

This action is part of a broader crackdown on foreign platforms, including restrictions on video games, imported films, and social media sites like Instagram and Reddit.
