China approves import of Nvidia H200 AI chips: sources
China has approved the import of several hundred thousand Nvidia H200 AI chips, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The approval was granted during Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to China this week.
The initial batch is mainly allocated to three major Chinese internet companies, with additional companies now awaiting approval.
Neither Nvidia nor Chinese authorities have publicly commented on the approval.
