Chery robotics unit prepares for potential IPO
AiMOGA Robotics, Chery Automobile’s Wuhu-based robotics unit, is preparing for a possible initial public offering as competition rises in China’s humanoid robot sector.
Unit head Zhang Guibing said at the World Robot Conference in Beijing that the company is discussing listing venues to fund future technology investment.
Founded by Chery in January 2025, AiMOGA is closely tied to the automaker’s research and development, supply chain, and dealership network.
Some of its robots already handle interactions in Chery 4S stores, suggesting the business began in auto retail before expanding into other service applications.
The company’s more than 3,000 global deliveries appear to include products beyond humanoid robots.
AiMOGA has said it made more than 2,000 overseas deliveries, while it previously said it delivered 300 humanoid robots and 1,000 robot dogs by the end of 2025.
A recent listing benchmark is Unitree’s debut on Shanghai’s STAR Market, as competition in the sector intensifies.
