Indian chemical manufacturing startup raises $40m series B

Bengaluru-based specialty chemical manufacturing startup Scimplify has secured US$40 million in its Series B funding round.

The investment was co-led by Accel and Bertelsmann Investments, with participation from UMI and existing investors Omnivore and 3one4 Capital.

This funding raises Scimplify’s total capital to US$54 million. The company plans to use these funds to expand operations beyond its current 16 markets.

It also aims to enhance services in life sciences, crop sciences, and industrial chemicals.

Founded in 2023 by Santosh and Salil Srivastava, Scimplify offers a B2B platform for sourcing and manufacturing specialty chemicals.

Its services include contract research and commercial manufacturing in sectors such as agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and flavors and fragrances.
