CATL-backed Noetix Robotics eyes Hong Kong IPO
Noetix Robotics, a Beijing-based humanoid robot company formerly known as Songyan Power Beijing Technology Co., has confidentially filed for a Hong Kong initial public offering that could raise several hundred million US dollars, according to people familiar with the matter.
The company could go public as soon as 2027, though the size and timing of the offering could still change, the people said. Noetix did not respond to a request for comment.
Founded by Jiang Zheyuan, Noetix raised 1 billion yuan (US$150 million) in March. The round was led by an industrial investment platform affiliated with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL). Its products include the N2 humanoid robot and a desktop companion robot.
Hong Kong’s Chapter 18C regime covers eligible specialist technology companies, including pre-revenue businesses. Noetix’s listing route was not specified.
Unitree Robotics‘ Shanghai initial public offering was oversubscribed 8,000 times, and the robot maker’s shares soared on debut. They have since fallen almost 40% from their peak, tempering enthusiasm for robotics listings.
