MUFG unit buys 49% stake in Carsome Capital

Car ecommerce platform Carsome Group has partnered with Japan Consumer Credit Service (JACCS), part of the Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group.

This collaboration aims to improve auto financing solutions in Malaysia, particularly for underserved segments.

Under the agreement, JACCS will obtain a 49% stake in Carsome Capital, while Carsome Group will retain 51%. There will be an emphasis on enhancing risk assessments and credit governance for financial sustainability.
