Carousell Autos, the vehicle marketplace arm of Singapore-based classifieds platform Carousell, launched a consumer car auction in Singapore.

The company said it was the first such service in the country, allowing verified buyers bid online alongside professional dealers for selected owner-listed used cars.

The service opens some owner-listed vehicles from Carousell Autos’ existing dealer auction listings to consumers. New eligible cars are added daily, with each vehicle stays open for bidding for 48 hours.

Buyers can bid before viewing a car. If a seller accepts a bid, a Carousell Autos specialist will arrange a joint viewing and can help coordinate inspection.

The company can also assist with financing, insurance, ownership transfer, and any repairs or refurbishment needed to complete the purchase.

Other Singapore operators also market auction-style used-car services. Republic Auto Wholesale offers pre-owned auction access, Dickson Group lists auction and marketplace services, and Quotz runs used-car bidding.
