🧠 Food for thought

1️⃣ Quandri’s funding reflects a surging investment trend in insurance AI amid industry-wide transformation

Quandri’s $12M raise is part of a broader rebound in insurtech funding, which reached $1.3 billion in Q1 2025 according to CB Insights research 1.

This investment pattern reflects the insurance industry’s significant commitment to AI technologies, with 87% of insurers investing over $5 million annually in AI, exceeding adoption rates in banking and retail sectors 2.

Quandri’s focus on workflow automation addresses a critical need, as McKinsey research indicates that insurers must integrate AI comprehensively across business domains including underwriting, claims, and customer service to remain competitive 3.

The company’s 15X revenue growth since 2023 demonstrates strong market validation for AI solutions that specifically target insurance broker workflows, a segment that has historically relied on manual processes.

By securing backing from Intact Ventures, a leading insurtech investment group, Quandri gains both capital and industry-specific strategic support, potentially accelerating their adoption in a sector where trust and reputation significantly influence purchasing decisions.

2️⃣ Talent acquisition becomes crucial as expertise gap remains the biggest barrier to insurance AI adoption

Quandri’s plan to hire 40+ additional employees aligns strategically with industry research showing that 24.4% of insurance professionals cite lack of internal expertise as the primary barrier to AI adoption 4.
