ByteDance’s enterprise arm backs Soonshot’s AI short-form K-dramas
Soonshot, a short-form K-drama platform that has teamed up with BytePlus, has launched its AI-powered mobile app to offer 1–2 minute episodes to users in Southeast Asia and beyond.
The platform is supported by ADG Company, which was co-founded by South Korean broadcaster Lee Kyung-kyu.
Soonshot said it attracted 110,000 users across seven countries within three months, with average session times of 22 minutes.
The app uses BytePlus’s AI tools for personalized recommendations, real-time analytics, and buffer-free streaming.
Singapore is the initial launch market, with expansion planned for Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, the US, and Japan.
