TikTok parent ByteDance will close down its flagship gaming brand, Nuverse, following difficulties competing with rivals such as Tencent, sources told Bloomberg.

ByteDance, which started retreating from the gaming scene during the pandemic, is also pondering the sale of Moonton, a studio it acquired for US$4 billion in 2021.
