ByteDance plans $5b buyback amid IPO uncertainty, valuation drops 10%
ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, is looking to buy back up to US$5 billion worth of shares from existing investors amid uncertainties about its IPO.
The shares are priced at US$160 apiece, similar to what was offered to employees last month. This reportedly values ByteDance at US$268 billion, a 10% decrease from last year.
