BYD targets 20% of global sales from exports this year
BYD expects exports to account for about 20% of its global sales in 2025, up from less than 10% in 2024, as it expands its international presence with new models and improved logistics.
The Shenzhen-based EV maker forecasts 800,000 to 1 million deliveries outside mainland China this year, out of a projected total of 4.6 million units.
BYD has expanded its fleet to eight car-carrier ships, with routes connecting China to Europe and Southeast Asia, to support export growth.
The company plans to introduce all China-developed models to overseas markets and double its European showrooms to 2,000 by 2026.
