Four leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers reported record sales in October, driven by strong domestic demand.

BYD, the largest global EV producer, sold 502,757 pure-electric and hybrid vehicles in October.

This marked a 66.5% increase compared to the same month last year. It also represented a 19.8% rise from September figures.

Xpeng, recognized for its autonomous-driving technology, delivered 23,917 vehicles to mainland customers in October. This represented a 12% increase from the previous month.

Leapmotor, with backing from Stellantis, sold 38,177 vehicles. This reflected a 13.1% rise from September.

Zeekr, managed by Geely Auto, delivered 25,049 vehicles in October. This was a 17.4% improvement on its September sales.
