BYD October sales dip 12%, first revenue drop in five years

BYD said its vehicle sales in October fell 12% year-on-year to 441,706 units, down from 502,675 a year earlier.

The latest sales update was shared by a BYD executive on Weibo.

The Chinese automaker also posted a nearly 33% drop in Q3 profit and a 3% revenue decline, marking its first quarterly revenue drop in over five years.

Analysts cited growing competition from domestic rivals as a key factor behind the weaker performance.
