Bybit CEO sees AI, stablecoins reshaping finance
Bybit CEO Ben Zhou said tokenization, stablecoins, and AI are speeding up the convergence of traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure as crypto firms expand beyond trading into broader financial services.
The comments come as Bybit strengthen its presence in regulated financial markets and expands products tied to tokenized assets and cross-border payments.
Bybit is also among the first exchanges to list tokenized equities from Backed Finance, but those products still face securities laws, custody requirements, and possible retail limits if they are structured as synthetic exposure.
Interest in stablecoin has grown as policymakers and financial firms explore ways to lower the cost and time of cross-border transactions.
A 2026 Federal Reserve note said payment stablecoins could help reduce settlement friction by cutting intermediaries.
Zhou also said AI tools are likely to play a larger role in trading and financial operations, while stressing the need for safeguards and monitoring as automated systems gain more control over transactions.
