Bukalapak hits positive Q3 adjusted EBITDA in digital pivot
Bukalapak, an Indonesian technology company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, said on October 23 that adjusted EBITDA turned positive at 1 billion rupiah (US$55,000) in the third quarter of 2026.
Quarterly revenue was broadly flat year on year at 1.6 trillion rupiah (US$88 million), while gross profit rose to 158 billion rupiah (US$8.69 million) from 123 billion rupiah (US$6.77 million).
For the first nine months of 2026, revenue reached 5.6 trillion rupiah (US$308 million), and adjusted EBITDA was 11 billion rupiah (US$605,000).
Gaming generated 1.4 trillion rupiah (US$77 million) in third-quarter revenue. Mitra Bukalapak, which helps micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises access digital products and financial services, posted 160 billion rupiah (US$8.8 million) in revenue, down 6% year on year.
The results follow Bukalapak’s 2025 plan to phase out physical-goods ecommerce in favor of virtual products and digital services.
Mitra’s shift from a first-party to a third-party model coincided with lower revenue but higher gross profit. Under that model, Bukalapak acts as an intermediary rather than holding inventory.
