Broadcom CEO pay rises to $205.3m on AI boost

In a regulatory filing, Broadcom said CEO Hock Tan received total compensation of US$205.3 million in 2025, largely boosted by equity awards.

The filing showed equity awards accounted for US$202.4 million and Tan’s salary was US$1.2 million; his total pay was US$2.6 million in 2024, when he received no stock awards.

Shares of Broadcom have rallied over two years as the chipmaker positions itself to benefit from AI spending.

The filing showed Broadcom added last year to Tan’s contract extension a clause that would bring hundreds of millions of dollars in stock compensation if the company reaches US$120 billion in AI product sales by 2030.
