Indian intercity bus platform raises $9m series A

Intercity mobility startup from India, Zingbus, has raised US$9 million from BP Ventures in its series A funding round, following a previous US$4.9 million investment.

The new funding will support the expansion of Zingbus’ operations and staff.

The company has also established a commercial agreement with Jio-BP pulse, a collaboration between Reliance and BP, to use its electric vehicle (EV) charging network across India.

Zingbus aims to raise an additional US$6.9 million through a preferential equity share issue, with support from BP Ventures, IE Ventures and 100Unicorns.
