Bolt launches in Taiwan

Bolt has launched its ride-hailing service in Taiwan, marking its first entry into East Asia.

The Tallinn-based company operates in over 600 cities across more than 50 countries, offering ride-hailing, scooter, e-bike, and car rentals.

Bolt is partnering with local Taiwanese fleets to provide its service in Taipei, joining a market that has had limited platform options for ride-hailing.

The company said it will introduce a commission structure and driver earnings model designed to increase transparency and efficiency.

Bolt’s app in Taiwan includes safety features such as real-time ride tracking, emergency assistance, pick-up codes, trusted contacts, and 24/7 customer support.
