Bolt claims 540% surge in driver-partners across Malaysia
Bolt, a European mobility platform, has seen rapid growth in the Malaysia since launching its ride-hailing service three months ago.
The number of driver-partners increased by 540%, while registered passengers grew by 280%. This surge has halved estimated arrival times, improving service efficiency.
Bolt charges a 15% commission rate, lower than the industry standard, allowing drivers to earn more.
Since launch, drivers have collectively made over 22.8 million ringgit (US$5.15 million), with the flexibility to manually select trips and manage their schedules.
To support new drivers, Bolt offers a 200 (US$45.21) activation bonus after 30 rides in 60 days to help cover licensing costs. Daily engagement campaigns ensure consistent earning opportunities.
Recently, Bolt introduced Bolt Executive, a premium ride category featuring luxury MPVs like Toyota Vellfires and Alphards. This caters to passengers seeking high-end travel while boosting driver earnings.
