Blume Ventures leads $15m round for healthtech startup Cent
India-based Cent, a preventive health startup, has raised US$15 million in a series A round of debt and equity. The round was led by Blume Ventures and existing backer South Park Commons.
Cent said it will use the funding for research and development and to expand its AI, engineering, and clinical teams.
The startup also acquired Medsee, which develops software that helps radiologists draft structured reports and review findings more efficiently.
Founded in 2025, Cent said it has completed 10,000 whole-body scans across Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi. Investors in the round also included Arun Sarin and Srinivas Narayanan, a former business-to-business (B2B) CTO at OpenAI.
On its website, Cent describes itself as offering a full-body checkup and magnetic resonance imaging, or MRI. This suggests MRI is central to its preventive health model.
Whole-body MRI does not use ionizing radiation, unlike computed tomography, or CT. However, published reviews say screening otherwise healthy people can still lead to incidental findings, overdiagnosis, and follow-on procedures.
