Bluesky adds cross-app search tool Quests to Attie
Bluesky, a US-based decentralised social network, said it has added Quests to Attie, its standalone AI assistant.
The feature lets users ask open-ended questions across Bluesky and other apps built on the AT Protocol for news, trends, and influential accounts.
Attie launched in March to help users build custom feeds with natural-language prompts instead of code. Bluesky described it as a separate app whose feeds can later be used in Bluesky or other AT Protocol clients.
That wider reach comes from the AT Protocol, whose shared identity and data model let apps interoperate and let indexing services aggregate content across the network, not just within Bluesky.
The update comes as Bluesky looks for new products after growth slowed to about 45.6 million registered accounts, up from 40 million last October.
The company also explored paid subscriptions and tools for power users after saying in March that it had raised US$100 million in a funding round that closed in 2025.
Other social platforms are making similar moves.
Reddit launched Reddit Answers in beta, while the broader trend is also raising questions about how platforms use user-generated content for AI.
