Blockchain advocate Digital Chamber names new CEO
Cody Carbone will become the new CEO of a crypto advocacy group, The Digital Chamber, in April. He will replace founder Perianne Boring, who will transition to chair of the board.
The organization, which advocates for blockchain policy, is shifting from a defensive to a proactive approach on cryptocurrency regulations in US.
This change aligns with the Trump administration’s initiatives, including a bitcoin reserve executive order and a federal working group on digital asset policies.
As CEO, Carbone plans to focus on stablecoin and market structure legislation.
The Senate Banking Committee recently advanced the bipartisan GENIUS Act, aiming to establish a regulatory framework for stablecoins and clarify oversight responsibilities. Despite tensions during the markup hearing, Carbone is optimistic about its passage.
The organization will also engage with lawmakers, agencies, and communities to showcase blockchain’s role in national security, underbanking, and cyber resilience.
