Private equity firm Blackstone is reportedly considering a minority investment in TikTok’s US operations, according to sources familiar with the situation.
The discussions involve Blackstone potentially joining ByteDance’s non-Chinese shareholders, including Susquehanna International Group and General Atlantic.
The proposal aims to restructure TikTok’s US business by spinning off its operations into a separate entity.
It also seeks to reduce Chinese ownership to below 20% to comply with US regulations.
