BlackRock-owned Vena to invest $14b in AI, renewable projects

Vena Group, a renewable energy developer owned by BlackRock, plans to invest 20 trillion won (US$14 billion) in South Korea for renewable energy and AI projects, according to the climate and science ministries.

The company has submitted a letter of intent outlining projects that include solar and wind power, battery energy storage systems, and an AI data center powered by renewable energy.

The investment will also cover a 500 MW and a 384 MW offshore wind power project.

Vena Group currently operates or is building 9.7 GW of renewable energy facilities across Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
