Bitget trading volume up 45.5% in 2025: report

Bitget ranked sixth among global centralized cryptocurrency exchanges at the end of 2025, with a 45.5% year-over-year increase in trading volume, according to CoinGecko’s report.

The exchange’s market share reached 6.4%, driven by its expanding product offerings.

Over the past year, Bitget introduced a multi-asset trading platform, including commodities, indices, FX, and tokenized stocks, alongside its core crypto derivatives and spot trading.

CoinGecko’s data suggests users are favoring platforms that support a range of assets and trading options.

As it moves into 2026, Bitget continues to develop its product suite and infrastructure, aiming to strengthen its market position.

The platform serves over 125 million users and offers access to more than 2 million tokens, along with tokenized stocks and commodities.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

Bitget grew fast, yet MEXC pulled ahead with fee cuts

  • Bitget’s trading volume rose 45.5% year over year in 2025.
  • MEXC, a centralized cryptocurrency exchange, climbed 90.9% over the same stretch 1.
  • MEXC tied much of that jump to a “zero-fee” policy on all spot trading pairs, which drew high-frequency traders plus retail users 1.
  • Bitget has pushed beyond crypto into commodities, indices, FX, and tokenized stocks. Even so, steep fee reductions still win share in a crowded exchange market 1.

Tokenized stocks broaden Bitget beyond core crypto trading

  • Bitget’s push into tokenized stocks aims to offer exposure to traditional financial assets through crypto rails.
  • Tokenization platform Ondo Finance integrated with Bitget and Bitget Wallet. The setup lets non-US users reach tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), including stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Ondo also secured Liechtenstein approval to offer tokenized stocks and ETFs across the EU plus the wider European Economic Area (EEA) 2.
  • The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ended its Ondo Finance investigation without charges, which suggests a shifting regulatory climate for these assets 2.
  • This buildout positions Bitget as a venue for tokenized real-world assets, which could lower dependence on crypto spot and derivatives activity.
