BitFuFu Inc. is set to acquire a majority stake in an 80-megawatt bitcoin mining facility in Ethiopia.

This acquisition marks a shift from BitFuFu’s previous asset-light approach to a more infrastructure-centered strategy.

BitFuFu currently has a hosting capacity of 522 megawatts, managed by external parties.

The new acquisition is expected to raise its capacity beyond 600 megawatts, with 13% of this under direct company management.
