Bitcoin exceeds record $94k

Bitcoin has reached a record high price of over US$94,000 after reports of Trump Media and Technology Group contemplating acquiring Bakkt, a crypto trading platform.

The Financial Times revealed that Trump Media, linked to Truth Social, is in talks for an all-stock acquisition of Bakkt.

Bakkt is associated with Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange.

The United States election has coincided with increased investments in digital assets, leading to speculation about a potentially favorable regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies.

The total market value has now exceeded US$3 trillion, according to CoinGecko.
