- Energy disruptions spread beyond trading screens, with Egypt raising fuel prices by up to 17% 3.
- Bangladesh cut energy use by closing universities early and shutting most fertilizer factories, sending available gas to power plants instead 1.
- EU officials warned that continued attacks on shipping and energy infrastructure could hit the global economy with a “stagflationary shock” (a mix of weak growth and high inflation) 3.
- State pressure has reached AI companies, with Anthropic (a US-based AI developer) suing the Trump administration after the Pentagon labeled it a “supply chain risk” due to its refusal to allow unrestricted military use of its technology 1.
