Binance and Kraken are among the nine global cryptocurrency trading platforms operating “illegally” in India, according to government agency Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).

The exchanges are accused of violating local anti-money laundering laws. The FIU has issued show-cause notices to these firms and requested that the IT Ministry block their sites.
