Biden cybersecurity adviser resigns amid AI, China threats
Anne Neuberger, the deputy national security adviser for cyber and emerging technology, resigned on Jan. 17, as the Biden administration transitions out of office.
During her tenure, Neuberger focused on AI, China, and software liability as key pillars of the administration’s cybersecurity initiatives.
She oversaw important programs, including two executive orders on cybersecurity and the launch of the US Cyber Trust Mark program to improve security standards for consumer products.
China-backed cyberattacks on US infrastructure, including power grids and communication systems, were a major concern.
Neuberger’s departure aligns with increasing cyber threats linked to China. This underscores critical infrastructure security as a priority for the future.
