Bessemer leads $113m round for Israeli AI startup Onyx
Israeli cybersecurity startup Onyx Security, which builds software to help enterprises secure and govern AI agents, has raised US$113 million in a series B round led by Bessemer Venture Partners.
The funding comes four months after the company emerged from stealth with US$40 million in prior funding and will support expansion of its AI agent security platform.
The round was reported to value Onyx at about US$640 million.
The company said it will use the new capital to speed up development of its AI models and expand sales, business development, and marketing in the US and other international markets.
Onyx said its platform discovers shadow AI across enterprises and monitors prompts, responses, and agent actions.
It also applies real-time security, governance, and compliance controls.
Founded in 2024 by Maxim Bar Kogan, former vice president of product and engineering at Mixtiles and a Unit 8200 veteran, and Gil Elbaz, an AI entrepreneur and former member of an Israeli Air Force operational technology unit, Onyx had previously raised US$40 million.
Anthropic said in June that it had integrated Onyx’s technology to help enterprise customers adopt AI securely.
