Barbie joins digital learning app for interactive education

Mattel Inc’s Barbie brand will be integrated into Kiddopia, a digital learning app, later this year.

The app, created by Paper Boat Apps, will include Barbie-themed educational games.

The partnership, announced by the parent company of Paper Boat Apps, Nazara Technologies, aims to combine education with entertainment through interactive learning experiences.

Founded in 2012 by Anupam and Anshu Dhanuka, Kiddopia primarily operates in the US. The app uses theme-based learning to foster creativity and problem-solving skills.

In December 2024, Kiddopia partnered with Moonbug Entertainment to add the “Little Angel” property to its platform.

Nazara Technologies acquired Paper Boat Apps for 300 crore rupees (US$34.60 million) in 2024.

The company has been expanding its presence in gaming and digital entertainment through various partnerships and acquisitions. Recently, it raised 495 crore rupees (US$57.1 million) via a preferential issue to support its growth.
