Banks reportedly in talks to fund $48b for OpenAI data centers

A group of banks is in discussions to provide US$38 billion in loans to support the development of new sites for OpenAI, according to the Financial Times.

The funding would go to Oracle and Vantage, a data center builder, to expand infrastructure for the AI company.

The report cited unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
