Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor emerged as the top players in India’s electric two-wheeler (E2W) market for December 2024, surpassing Ola Electric in e-scooter sales.

This shift occurred alongside an overall decline in E2W registrations, which dropped to 73,363 units, an eight-month low and a decrease of 38.7% from November, according to Vahan data.

Bajaj Auto reported 18,295 units sold in December, a 30.6% decline from November.

However, this marks a 75.5% increase year-on-year.

TVS Motor ranked second with 17,231 registrations, representing a 37% month-on-month decrease. Its market share grew to 23.5%, rising from 22.7% in November.

In contrast, Ola Electric experienced a significant drop in December. Sales fell by 53% month-on-month to 13,770 units.
