Bain Capital leads $150m round for US healthcare startup Forus
Forus, a US-based healthcare automation startup, has raised US$150 million in a series C round led by Bain Capital Ventures.
The round values the company at US$3 billion, just months after its previous financing.
Forus said its AI software helps patients get prescribed drugs faster by handling insurance coverage, financial assistance, and pharmacy coordination after a prescription is written.
The company describes itself as focused on prior authorization and medication access.
Forus said the new financing follows its announcement in May that it had raised more than US$160 million. The latest round brings total funding to more than US$300 million.
CEO Sahir Jaggi said the capital will be used to expand the company’s technology as customer demand grows.
The round comes as investors show growing interest in AI tools that speed patients’ access to medicines.
Prior authorization remains significant in prescription workflows, while the burden is growing and has been associated with delays in care.
