Baidu reveals upgraded AI platforms at Beijing summit

Baidu launched its improved AI offerings at a summit held in China’s capital on Wednesday.

The company presented the Baige AI Heterogeneous Computing Platform 4.0 and the Qianfan Foundation Model Platform 3.0 at the Yunzhi Summit in Beijing.

Dou Shen, Baidu’s executive vice president, said the ERNIE models on its Qianfan Foundation Model Platform handle 700 million inquiries daily, fine-tuning more than 30,000 large models, and helping create 700,000 enterprise applications.

The platform includes a low-code tool designed to streamline enterprise app development using natural language processing.

Meanwhile, the upgraded Baige platform achieves 99.5% training efficiency on a cluster of 10,000 GPUs.
