AWS, Salesforce expand AI, zero-copy integrations
AWS and Salesforce said on September 18 they are expanding integrations across Slack, Amazon Quick, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Connect so companies can use customer relationship management data and AI agents in existing workflows without moving or duplicating data.
The update lets Amazon Quick use Salesforce data, context, and skills.
It also brings AWS agents into Slack, starting with AWS DevOps Agent, and expands Agentforce access to Bedrock models.
Salesforce said zero-copy support now extends to AWS services including Amazon Aurora and Amazon Relational Database Service.
It also covers AWS Glue-managed Apache Iceberg tables, Apache Iceberg tables based on S3, and Amazon SageMaker Lakehouse.
Salesforce describes zero-copy connectivity as a way to access in place external data rather than move or duplicate it.
AWS previously said Salesforce Data Cloud could query Redshift through zero-copy federation.
The latest update expands that approach to more AWS data services.
Separately, Agent2Agent voice links between Agentforce Voice and Amazon Connect Customer are scheduled for fall 2026.
