AWS leadership change sees veteran executive exit
Amazon veteran Dave Brown, a senior vice president at Amazon Web Services (AWS), will leave the company after 19 years for another job.
AWS CEO Matt Garman said Brown will stay through July. Dave Treadwell, currently senior vice president of ecommerce foundation, will replace him on August 1. Amazon said Treadwell has nearly a decade of experience leading its technology platform.
Brown most recently led AWS compute and machine learning services, including several of the company’s core cloud products.
Amazon’s S-team is the company’s 28-member senior leadership group.
