AWS commits additional $10b to Ohio, totaling $23b by 2029
Amazon Web Services (AWS) plans to invest an additional US$10 billion to expand its data center infrastructure in Ohio. This brings its total commitment in the state to over US$23 billion by 2029.
The expansion will add facilities with servers, storage drives, and networking equipment to support cloud computing operations, including artificial intelligence and machine learning services.
Specific location remains undecided, pending long-term energy agreements.
AWS began operating in the state in 2016.
