Automation platform Zapier disclosed that an unauthorized user accessed some code repositories, potentially exposing customer information.

This breach resulted from a misconfiguration of two-factor authentication (2FA) on an employee’s account, according to an email sent to affected users.

The unauthorized access was identified on Feb. 27.

Zapier reported that it quickly secured the repositories and revoked the unauthorized user’s access.

The incident did not involve any compromise of Zapier’s databases, production environment, authentication systems, or payment systems.
