🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Hospitality communication fragmentation represents a €10 billion opportunity
The hospitality industry has long struggled with fragmented communication systems, with hotels typically juggling 8-12 different platforms for guest messaging across channels like WhatsApp, email, booking platforms, and social media.
This fragmentation directly impacts revenue and guest satisfaction, as evidenced by the significant increase in both volume and variety of information and communication technology (ICT) research in the hospitality sector between 2014-2017 1.
Recent data shows 73% of hoteliers believe AI will significantly impact the hospitality industry, while 58% of guests feel AI enhances their booking and stay experience 2.
Despite technological advancements, the industry has been slow to solve this communication challenge, with contactless services only recently accelerating adoption due to staff shortages 3.
The €10 billion annual loss figure cited by chatlyn aligns with the industry’s scale and the documented inefficiencies in guest communication systems across multiple touchpoints.
2️⃣ Multilingual AI addresses a critical service gap in global hospitality
