Convergence Medical, an Australian startup, has raised U$5 million in a series A funding round.

The round was led by New York’s Avicella Capital, increasing its valuation to over US$30 million.

The investment will support the development of its arthroscopic surgical robot, V01.

The robot designed for minimally invasive joint surgery, particularly for wrists, shoulders, spines, hips, and knees.

Convergence Medical aims to obtain V01’s final regulatory clearance and deliver its first units to US hospitals by late 2025.
