Australian retail tech startup Flagship nets $3.75m seed funding
Australia-based retail technology startup Flagship has raised AU$6 million (US$3.75 million) in a seed funding round to support its US expansion, just six months after launching in the market.
The round was led by US venture capital firms Coreline and Veridical Ventures, with contributions from Australian investors Tidal Ventures and Macdoch Ventures. This follows an earlier AU$2 million (US$1.26 million) seed round aimed at growing the startup in Australia and the US.
Founded by Simon Molnar, Flagship offers a digital visual merchandising platform used by over 600 stores worldwide.
The company will use the new funds to enhance US market strategies, invest in R&D, and integrate AI features. It currently has 13 employees in Australia and the US, with plans to grow the workforce by 25% this year.
Flagship has also partnered with a US-based performance apparel brand to improve in-store experiences in over 80 locations.
